What is Help-Portrait Austin?
Help-Portrait is a global movement of photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists using their time, tools and expertise to give back to those in need.
Austin joined this movement in 2008.  Each year Help-Portrait Austin brings together photographers, editors, hairstylists, makeup artists and service volunteers for our December event.  We find people in need and coordinate this event to provide them with beautiful portrait prints just in time for the holidays, free or charge.
Help-Portrait is about GIVING the pictures, not taking them. These portraits aren’t for a portfolio, website, or sale. It’s about giving people who otherwise couldn’t afford photography, a chance to capture a moment, a memory…and a whole lot more.

If you are interested in being a part of this special event please join us!  There are many different volunteer opportunities available.  We’ll find the perfect fit for you.

Help-Portrait Austin is part of the larger Help-Portrait Global movement: www.help-portrait.com.
This year..

Our event is on Saturday, Dec. 05, 2015 and we need volunteers for all teams! Your 1/2 or full day of service will make a huge difference!

Our event will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Austin – East Austin Club:
901 Thompson St, Austin, TX 78702

“Doing Awesome Simply”

This our new mantra for the 2014 Help-Portrait Austin Event. We want to reduce complexity, and make a better event for all.

Help-Portrait Austin gratefully acknowledges P&R Productions for helping us tell the story of the December 08 2012 Help-Portrait Austin Event. We wish to thank all the volunteers, guests, and the families that made this possible. It was a pleasure to serve.
